- River Risks: Sandy Shores Tubing is not responsible for any injuries. This float is on a natural waterway and without a guide or life guard. Such risks include but are not limited to: sun burn, heat stroke, dehydration, cuts, bruises, fractures, dislocations, scrapes, allergic reactions, insect or animal bites, and drowning. You participate at your own risk.
- Waiver Form: To participate, it is required that a waiver or release of liability is signed before your outing begins. Have this completed before you check in. Parents must sign for anyone under 18.
- Participant Restrictions: If you cannot swim, are on prescription medications that may endanger your safety on the river, are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, are experiencing neck, back or other conditions that could be irritated by rental equipment, you cannot use rentals.
- Min/Max weight– Min(as defined by U.S.C.G. designation on our smallest P.F.D.)=50 lbs. Max(our recommendation to comfortably sit in the largest tube)=300 lbs.
- Equipment: Sandy Shores Tubing has a limited amount of equipment for rentals. A reservation will help staff and stage equipment to ensure your time on the river. Equipment should be inspected prior to use. If equipment is not properly returned, lost, of if you are suspected of intentionally damaging equipment, you will be charged for replacements.
- Sun Protection: We recommend the use of sunscreen due to high sun exposure on the river. A hat or visor is also advised.
- Swim Wear: We suggest you wear a swim suit, shorts, or clothing you feel comfortable swimming in.
- Foot Protection: Keep your feet protected: Wear old sneakers, water shoes, or sandals with straps. You never know what you may come across on the river bottom.
- Valuables: Sandy Shores Tubing takes no liability for lost, stolen, or misplaced personal items. Leave all valuables at home or locked out of sight, in a vehicle. Anything taken on the river could get wet or lost.
- Life Preservers: These must be worn at all times. You may bring your own life preservers.
- River Emergency- If you have an emergency, you are on your own to contact 911, or to notify staff at our pick up or drop off points and we can contact help for you.
- Private Property- We ask that you stay within the river and river bed, including sandbars and the sandy shorelines. Stay within these boundaries and respect Private Property.
- High Water: In the event of unsafe water conditions due to flooding, we will shut down our service until the water levels return to a safe level. Updates on closures/re-openings will be posted on the homepage.
- Keys on the River- Please keep keys off the river. A locksmith can be very expensive.
- Parking: Parking is free as long as you park in the correct area. Make sure you find the Sandy Shores Parking signs and park beyond that point.
- Pets: No pets are allowed due to the safety of your pet(s) and our customers.
- Coolers: No Styrofoam coolers or glass bottles allowed. Coolers will be checked and any glass bottles will be confiscated.
- Personal Tubes: Personal inflatable tubes or rafts are not permitted.
- Littering: This beautiful Wisconsin River and peaceful setting is here for all of us to enjoy. Pick up after yourself. Wisconsin Littering fines can range up to $500.
- Illegal drugs: If a staff member suspects any use of an illegal drug, you will not be allowed to participate.
- Filming or Photography: Sandy Shores Tubing will take pictures and video throughout the season for both website and advertising use. Footage will be shot during normal business hours. These sessions will be posted and if you have a problem, please do not participate.
